  • Things went a lot faster today than I thought it would, so I'm now ready to release the parts for rules-based outline rendering.
  • Two types
    • In this release, two types get rules support, blogpost and howto.
    • This is a blogpost so it's being rendered with rules.
    • One side-effect of that is that all outlines processed with the rules renderer can be collapsed. Try clicking on the parent of this headline to see for yourself.
  • How to test
    • If you have an existing blogpost or howto node, verify that it still works.
    • Create a new blog post. Verify that you can read it. Look at the example outline for ideas of how to use rules. Prepare yourself for some head-scratching.
    • Ask questions on the list. Always include screen shots, URLs and the actual outlines you're using if they would help someone help you.
  • Tip
    • The boilerplate feature in the Bookmarks menu is useful for rules.
