- Colors and fonts
- Some random notes about the work I'm doing.
- First, the font of the directory and the crumb trail should be the same. They are the same objects, so creating that association visually, feels comfortable.
- After getting rid of the left indent totally, it's time to bring it back. It's a parameter.
- The terminology of outlines, which is even older than terminology of the web, is starting to fit into this. We have a layout language too.
- I think the header graphic idea may be phased out.
- Need to have nodetypes in worldoutline totally pluggable. They are not yet.
- We have a blogpost nodetype, I need to be able to create one of those by hand. For example, why shouldn't this text have a pubDate, an author, a byline? WinerLinks?
- Perhaps this is similar to what Ted was thinking a code nodetype would be. Right-indent, and enter some code. Back up to the parent and set the nodes type to code. What could be easier? (I bet it fits right into the architecture.)
- See how colors are starting to work for us now? Two colors, the author's color, and the system's color. There is not a strict division, it's just that system text tends to be in a shade of blue, and my text tends to be black. This idea was stolen from Nicolas, and I assume he stole it from Facebook. I think everyone is. This is the blue-and-black on white era in the web. Luckily these are all parameters so you can change them without editing any HTML or CSS.
- Need to get comments working here again.
- I'm finally having fun! :-)
- PS: Here's today's podcast.
