Archiving my workspace

I want to be able to keep an archive of everything that's in my Microliner Workspace, so I can have it backed up (of course) and so I can include it in worldoutline outlines. I can do the latter part by configuring the editor to save my archive in the Public sub-folder of my Dropbox folder, one of the coolest inventions ever. :-)

Demo

How to

Choose microliner.root from the WIndow menu, then choose Update Front Tool from the Tools menu. This makes sure you have the latest parts.

Write a new tweet and click the Tweet button or press Return to send it off. Now look in the Guest Databases sub-folder of your OPML folder, in ops/microliner/archive. You should see a workspace.opml file, and a serialized backup in a calendar-structured folder.

If you want that folder to be accessed through the web, go to config.microliner.prefs.localFolder and change the location to a sub-folder of the Public sub-folder of your Dropbox folder (of course assuming that you're running Dropbox).

How to include

In the worldoutline or an OPML Comment or other worldoutline-compatible environment, right-click on a headline and choose Add Include from the popup menu. Enter the URL of the OPML file. It should behave as a read-only copy of the outline would. You can actually edit it in the OPML Editor, but the edits aren't written back to the original file (nor would you want them to be).
