I've been looking for a way to, at a user interface level, make it easy to get from River2 (for example) to the OPML Editor website menu. This isn't something a user needs to do, but the owner of the system needs to be able to do it.
I'm beginning to think that a simple link is the best way to go. Over on the right side of the menu, with the status information.
It would only be present if you're logged on as admin.
There are two tools in the Tools folder. helloWorld.root, which is a tiny app for the EC2 for Poets tutorial and ec2Support.root which contains extra utility functionality for the cloud version of the OPML server.
The previous release contained river2.root, radio2.root and beaut.root. I've made this mistake before, trying to ship an app in place of the platform. I end up having to maintain two very different kinds of functionality in one package. The new stuff isn't fully-baked enough yet to be considered part of a platform release. So I did what I did in 2008 with the OPML package, and stripped it down to its basics, and let everything else ship independently.
