Making the River2 stylesheet a parameter
  • John Johnston asked where he would go to change the pointer to the default stylesheet in his static river. Unfortunately, the answer was that if he changed it, there would be no way to protect the change against a future update. I needed to carve out a pref here so that he could safely change it.
  • I had a bit of time to kill at the NYPL so I used their excellent free wifi to add a new prefs panel in River2 that allows you to specify the URL of your stylesheet.
  • It's a perfect feature. If you click on the default stylesheet you see that it's the original by Nicolas Gallagher, unmodified. We always said you'd be able to replace it. Now you can, and it's easy!
  • BTW, the tourists were out in droves yesterday, everywhere you went. And they spoke all languages of Planet Earth. I guess everyone wanted to be here for the 9-11 remembrance?
