While I was running it on one of my servers, I saw some immediate opportunities for improvement.

1. Wait a second after deleting each table to give other threads a chance to run. If you're subscribed to hundreds of feeds as I am, each deletion, a day's worth of news, can take a few seconds.

2. Only delete 7 days at a time. This means if you waited a long time before turning it on, it might take a few nights to get all the old stuff cleared out. Otherwise it seems like too much work to do in one shot. Better to break it up.

3. Log the result.
