The user interface of blork is the next candidate for conversion. It has a lot of commands in its menus, but it's basically just another version of River2 (I hope). Let's find out.
For this work, I'm setting up radio2.root and beaut.root on a test server named venus. This is good because I want to set up a separate machine for hosting Blork for others to use, separate from my overloaded main server.
Just initialize it to admin. Existing installations will have it set as they have it set. No problems.
Converted the menu. Works great.
Converting prefs. Had to write prefs2.textareapref. As you can see it worked. (The first time!)
Added Post command to menu, opens the popup window, with nothing filled in.
New History command.
If you signout, the styles on the signin page were all screwed up. That's because the new styles page wasn't making it through the cookie check. Made the fix in the firstfilter script. Watch out for this in other places.
The Links page looks like crap, but I have no idea how it's supposed to work. Funny how when these things were tables they "just worked." I know, it's not actually funny. :-)
Comment the Podcasts and Photos commands. We need the space.
Hooked up the Edit and Delete buttons on the History page.
Added the feeds popup menu for feeds to the popup window.
